WP Template Promotion

Hello all,

If you are a designer and want to promote/distribute your WordPress/Web/CSS templates, we will submit your wordpress template into template gallery sites and web-master forums.

Instructions:

  • You MUST have FULL rights to distribute the template. Do not copy others work and ask me to promote them. It is not going to happen.
  • Make sure you concentrate on Quality of the template than Quantity. Quality desides the number of downloads. More downloads will give you more backlinks.
  • The template you are asking me to submit should be unique and you are the legal copyright owner or have written permission from the legal copyright owner to promote the template.
  • Any images, audio and video embedded inside the templates you post belong to you or are redistributable as free and will not infringe or violate the intellectual property rights of any third party.
  • You must provide a valid demo link and host the template files in your site. And it should live forever. Do not delete the template files/demo sites once the promotion is done.
  • You must provide a brief description of the template. Do not include your website or any other urls with the description, as many sites doesn’t like that. You can add your contact/support details in readme.txt
  • Make sure your template name is unique. Just google it before you decide a name for your template. No symbols are allowed.
  • You can add suffixes like v1.0 with your template name to make it unique. Example WP_011 v1.0
  • Make sure you have screenshot.png or screenshot.jpg inside your template folder. The screenshot must be valid screenshot of the template not an advertisement of your services.
  • Please add readme.txt with your template files and please include all required installation instructions. We recommand you to use the .txt format for instructions file. Many of us do not have PDF readers or Office 2007 or other software.
  • Remove all unnecessary files/folders from the template zip files.
  • If your template needs any plugins please specify the details of the plugins in the readme.txt
  • Please test your template on IE 6, IE 7, FireFox, Flock, Opera, Safari and make sure they works good.
  • .zip URLs: You must provide template files (download urls) ending with .zip extension, as some template sites requires that. As you know many of us do not use .rar format or other archive formats.
  • Screenshots: There is no need to provide screenshots as we will take it directly from your demo site. (it requires 17 different sizes)
  • Please avoid spacebands in demo/download urls. Some template sites do not like that. For Example … wpspider.com/demo/WP 010 – is not valid name, as it contains space in url
  • Archive folder Structure: Make sure you use .zip format and the structure must be:
    template_File.zip > template_Folder > template files. There should be no other folders/files under template_File.zip file. If proper folder sturcture is not followed many template sites cannot create demo links. This may reduce the number of downloads as the end user unable to check the demo before downloading the template files.
  • Download and check out the folder sturcture : wpspider.com/go/1download
    i.e., If we open the zip file there should be template folder (only no other folders)under that template files should be there. if you have plugins please place them as
    template_File.zip > template_Folder > Plugins > Plugin_1_Folder > Plugins_files
  • Make sure your stylesheet (style.css) have template information as shown below:(If you haven’t provided the template information in stylesheet, your template will be rejected on many template sites.)

  • Make sure your demo and download links works great before sending your job to us.
  • Make sure your templates works with latest WordPress version.
